A Covington Tradition Since 1954

Established in 1954 on the historic Flowers’ estate, the Covington Country Club was brought to life through the vision and dedication of fifteen founding directors. Starting with just 80 charter families, the club quickly became a vibrant hub for the community, nearly doubling its membership within its first year. From those early days of opening the first swimming pool in 1956 to clearing the original golf course lanes, the club has always been defined by a deep sense of camaraderie, volunteerism, and member-driven pride.

Over the decades, the club continuously evolved to accommodate its growing family, undergoing expansions through the 1970s and 1980s to introduce enhanced recreational facilities. While our amenities modernized, our core traditions remained timeless. For generations, Covington Country Club has proudly carried on beloved favorites—like our signature Friday night dinners, festive Independence Day celebrations, and an active social calendar—serving as a welcoming home away from home.

On March 31, 2023, our community faced its greatest challenge when a severe tornado heavily damaged the original clubhouse. Yet, the true spirit of Covington never wavered. Throughout a long, challenging, rebuilding process, our loyal members stood firmly by the club, allowing us to proudly continue operations and keep our community connected. Today, we are incredibly blessed to welcome you into our brand-new clubhouse, which officially opened its doors in November of 2025. It stands not just as a beautiful new facility, but as a testament to the resilience and dedication of our club family
